THYROID ISSUES? AVOID THESE FOODS...

if you have thyroid issues you absolutely need to avoid foods containing goitrogens. but what the heck are goitrogens? these are chemicals that can interfere with thyroid function in many ways. foods that contain these chemicals are:

gluten

soy
raw crucificerous veggies (cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, broccolini, cauliflower, mustard greens, kale, turnips, and collards..) but once steamed or cooked, they are totally safe!
peanuts
pine nuts
millet
peaches
strawberries
spinach
cassava root
...

keep in mind that you can still enjoy these foods if you have thyroid issues, just make sure they are cooked.

nourish your thyroid by consuming foods rich in selenium, zinc, iodine, vitamin B complex and antioxidants. these nutrients also help boost your thyroid even if you don't have issues with it and they may support fat loss.
