GROCERY SHOPPING CHEAT SHEET… additives to avoid

monosodium glutamate (MSG) – flavor enhancer in soups, salad dressings, chips, frozen foods. Can be reale to depression, disorientation, eye damage, fatigue, headaches, obesity.

artificial sweeteners (aspartame, saccarine, mannitol) – linked to brain tumors, diabetes, lymphoma, multiple sclerosis, parkinson’s, alzheimer’s, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and emotional disorders like depression, anxiety, dizziness, headaches, nausea, mental confusion, seizures, and affect short-term memory and intelligence.

BHA and BHT – used to prevent the food from changing color or losing flavor or becoming rancid. Linked to cancer. Found in gum, cereals…

trans fats – found in processed food, it’s one of the most dangerous substances to consume when synthetically created. Used to extend the shelf life. linked to bad cholesterol, so high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, heart disease.

sodium nitrate/ nitrite – to preserve meat products in place of common salt. when consume din large amounts over time damage the DNA and result in cancer and pulmonary diseases.

artificial food coloring – linked to thyroid cancer, kidney and adrenal tumors, chromosome deterioration. And your kids eat this!

sodium sulfite – found in dried fruit. Linked to asthma, rashes, headaches, breathing problems…

sulfur dioxide – toxic additive found in beer, dried fruits, chips, soft drinks… linked to conjunctivitis, bronchitis, emphysema, bronchial asthma, cardiovascular disease…

HFCS/ high-ffructose corn syrup – found in almost all processed foods. Provides 0 nutritional benefit and can be also found in healthy foods like ypogurt, cereal, granola, bars…

potassium bromate – used to increase volume to bread products. proven to cause cancer in animals. Banned as additive in EU, canada, brazil, but NOT in the US. california is the only state that requires labels for products with potassium bromate.

stick to foods that contain 1 ingredient... never more than 3 or 5!
